Sue has conducted research in parent involvement in schooling, the role of peers in language learning, practices supporting equity student success in higher education and teacher education. Her current research interests include development of pre-service teachers, professional communities, and support and engagement of students in higher education. Sue was a member of the Staying BRITE team, supporting development of resilience for teachers.
