Stacey is a Lecturer and PhD Candidate in the School of Social Work, bringing more than 15 years of social work practice experience across youth homelessness, domestic and family violence, mental health, and child protection.

Her practice background strongly shapes her approach to teaching and research. She is particularly interested in the space where theory, evidence and lived experience meet, and in asking what this knowledge actually means when we bring it to life in social work practice.

Stacey’s current PhD research explores Australian men’s experiences of suicide bereavement, drawing together her interests in gender, masculinity, grief, help-seeking and lived experience.
