Samara is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Wollongong in the School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences. In her work, Samara merges neuroinflammation and glutamate dysfunction across a spectrum of psychiatric disorders, primarily utilising postmortem human brain tissue.
More specifically, Samara is interested in how the heterogeneity of psychiatric disorders can be explored at a molecular level, with a particular emphasis on sex differences.
