Associate Professor Ria Arnold is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and clinician-researcher. She specialises in embedding evidence-based exercise interventions into standard care for complex chronic conditions, with a focus on chronic kidney disease, multimorbidity, and neuromuscular complications. Her research program is driven by the reality of clinical practice, that is, standard exercise guidelines are raely built for people with highly complex, fluctuating health. A/Prof Arnold works to bridge the evidence gap by developing adapatable interventions and education materials that meet patients where they are. She champions an inclusve aproach to allied health, focussing on patients who are frequently excluded from traditional trials. A former NHMRC Fellow, with over 40 peer-reviewed publications and more than $1.2M in competitive research funding, A/Prof Arnold maintains an active clinical role at Concord Repatriation General Hospital’s kidney clinic, ensuring her research remains directly grounded in the realities of complex patient care and health systems implementation.
