BIO

Lucy Armitage received her BApSci (Physiotherapy) in 2007 from the University of Sydney. She worked as a physiotherapist in the hospital system before completing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering/Master of Biomedical Engineering degree at UNSW in 2015. She completed her PhD in 2019 at UNSW Australia. Her PhD research focused on clinical assessment of prosthetic fit for people with lower limb loss. Lucy is currently a Lecturer in the Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering at University of Wollongong. Her research interests include multidisciplinary research linking clinicians with engineers, prosthetics and orthotics research and rehabilitation engineering.
