BIO

Dr Lei Deng received the PhD degree in mechanical engineering with Examiners' Commendation for Outstanding Thesis from the University of Wollongong, Australia, in July 2021. He is a recipient of ARC DECRA 2025 and has received several awards, including the Best Presentation Award for Young Researcher (ICFD2021), Best Presentation Award (ICANDVC 2021) and Best Poster Award (ERMR2019).

Following the completion of PhD study, he has been working as an associate research fellow and research fellow at the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering, University of Wollongong. His research interests focus on magnetorheological technology and its applications, vibration control and impact protection, and electric vehicle transmission systems.
