RESEARCH INTERESTS

Associate Professor Judy Pickard's primary research interests are in mindfulness and self compassion, investigating their role in intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships. Her research explores the cross-generational transmission of attachment with particular focus on mental health. In addition Associate Professor Pickard conducts research into the effect of mindfulness in clinical training programs, exploring both the impact on clinician well-being and therapeutic outcomes.
