BIO

Professor Ongerth has over 40 years Environmental Engineering experience, teaching, conducting practical applied research and providing consulting service to municipal and industrial clients. Areas of special expertise include monitoring, data analysis and interpretation for microbial and trace chemical compounds in water and wastewater. Dr. Ongerth also has planned, managed, and implemented public input processes related to waste management facilities and sites contaminated by hazardous materials. Derived from teaching research and practical engineering applied to water, wastewater, stormwater, and both solid and hazardous waste management, his expertise is readily adaptable to creative solutions for a wide range of environmental management problems.
