Helena Targa Dias Anastacio
BIO
Postdoctoral researcher in neurodegeneration with expertise in human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived neural and glial models, My research focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, including Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease. I currently investigate astrocyte and oligodendrocyte dysfunction in Huntington’s disease, integrating cell biology, lipid biology, and advanced imaging approaches to identify disease-relevant mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.
