BIO
I received my PhD in Mechanical Design and Theory from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2002. I subsequently held postdoctoral research appointments at the University of Hong Kong (2002–2003) and Imperial College London (2004–2005), followed by a Research Fellowship at the University of Technology Sydney (2005–2009). I am currently a Senior Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Wollongong, Australia. I serve as a Subject Editor for the Journal of the Franklin Institute, an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and conferences of the IEEE Control Systems Society, and an Editorial Board Member for several international journals, including Journal of Sound and Vibration, IMechE Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, and Journal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control. I have also served as a Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics, IET Control Theory and Applications, IET Intelligent Transportation Systems, Mechatronics, Advances in Mechanical Engineering, among others. My research interests include vibration control, vehicle dynamics and control, robust control theory and its engineering applications, electric vehicles, robotics and automation, and smart materials and structures.
