BIO

Faisel Tubbal received the B.E. degree from College of Electronic Technology, Tripoli, Libya, in 2004, and the M.S. degrees in telecommunication engineering (2012) and engineering management (2013), followed by the Ph.D. degree in telecommunication engineering in 2017, all from the University of Wollongong, Wollongong, Australia. He is currently a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator with the School of Engineering, faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, University of Wollongong, following the faculty wide restructuring in 2026. Faisel has worked as a casual unit Convenor with school of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics, Western Sydney University, Australia for 5 years. 

 

He is the author of one book, three chapters and more than 70 conference and journal articles. His research interests include CubeSat communications, antenna designs for CubeSat applications, wearable antennas, antenna designs using metamaterials, Metasurface antennas, rectennas, wireless power transfer and RF energy harvesting. Dr. Faisel was the recipient of the Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning (OCTAL) in 2016 and 2021. He is a Fellow at Wollongong Academy for Tertiary Teaching and Learning Excellence (WATTLE), a member of Australasian Association for Engineering Education (AAEE) and a professional member with Engineering Australia (EA).
