Overview


Dr. Venkat Yanamandram is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Faculty of Business and Law, UOW. He was awarded his Ph.D. from the University of Sydney. He has published in peer-reviewed business journals (over 40% A* or A ranked articles on the ABDC journal quality list). He received the UOW Vice Chancellor's Faculty Award for teaching (OCTAL) and was nominated for the award for several years. He received various internal and external grants totaling nearly $200K for various teaching-related and discipline-specific research projects.

Venkat is Associate Dean (International & Accreditation) (acting), responsible for making an effective contribution to internationalisation within the Faculty in accordance with the University’s and Faculty’s strategic plans. He also holds the role of Director, Assurance of Learning, responsible for executing the Faculty's plan for systematically collecting data on degree program learning outcomes, reviewing and using the data to continuously develop and improve the Faculty's academic programs.

  • Venkat has subject coordinated at MBA and Executive MBA as well as at first and second year undergraduate levels across Wollongong, Sydney, and Singapore. 

    Venkat is the Director, Assurance of Learning, responsible for executing the Faculty's plan for systematically collecting data on course learning outcomes, reviewing and using the data to continuously develop and improve the Faculty's academic programs. Before taking up the role of Director, Assurance of Learning, Venkat worked with the Associate Dean (Education) in reviewing Faculty's academic programs.

    Venkat also was the Course Director of Master of Business Administration (MBA and MBA Advanced), responsible for its leadership and operational management by leading curriculum and assessment change, contributing to strategic debate, reviewing and improving the courses, administering and monitoring the courses including assurance of learning, facilitating and guiding the course team, and supporting and providing recommendations on student admission and progression.
