Thanh Le is an Associate Professor at School of Accounting, Economics and Finance. He obtained his PhD in economics from the ANU. Prior to joining University of Wollongong, he was employed at Flinders University, the University of Queensland and Cournot Centre for Economic Studies (in France). His general research interests lie in the areas of growth, technological change, productivity, knowledge spillovers, political economy and trade. He has consulted widely for different international organisations such as KPMG, the UNESCAP, and the UNDP on issues related to socio-economic policy. He has been the recipients of various research grants including those from French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, UNDP, Australian Davos Connection Forum, National Foundation for Science and Technology Development, and Endeavour. He was a Vice President of the International Society of Vietnam Economists and held visiting positions at Toulouse School of Economics (France), Baylor University (the USA) and Institute for European Studies (Vietnam).
