Research Overview


  • Dr. Zhou has been focused on Li/Na/K ions batteries, metal-CO2 battery, interfacial and catalysis problems encountered in battery system. This involved extensive studies of the crystal and phase engineering of the relevant materials. Dr. Zhou started his professional research career as a Chutian Schloar at the Key Laboratory of Catalysis and Materials Science of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, Ministry of Education, from Sep. 2016 to Dec. 2017. After then, he worked as a research fellow on an ARC Linkage Project (LP160101629) at UOW in 2018. Currently, He was awarded ARC DECRA Fellowship in 2019. This work will focus on the interfacial and catalysis problems encountered in energy storage system, and detailed operando characterization of materials and batteries. His duties as a research fellow are to carry out extensive experimental characterization of materials and explore ultrahigh specific energy capacity and safety of battery for its wider use and higher performance demands, collaborate and efficiently interact with members of ISEM/AIIM and outside organizations, and participate in workshops and seminars.
