Research Overview


  • My research encompasses utilization and development of electrochemical techniques for characterization of surfaces and interfaces in a variety of applications such as biomedical materials engineering, photo-active surfaces and compounds, organic and inorganic coatings for corrosion protection and also transport properties within and through polymeric coatings and materials. A major part this is developing new electrochemical sensors with enhanced sensitivity and broader detection capability for non-invasive real-time monitoring of changes in any given environments.
    Another area of my research is developing smart protective coatings with self-healing characteristics for corrosion protection and surface coatings for improved bio- and cyto-compatibility of biomedical implants.
