Professional Highlights: Past employments with National Institute of Rock mechanics, CRC Centre for Mining Technology and Equipment (CMTE, Australia), CRC-Mining (Australia), University of Queensland (Australia), CSIRO (Australia).  Co-development and Coordination of geomechanics and rock breakage courses for Mining Education Australia. Research grants overall several million dollars include - Board of Research and Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) grant; Department of Energy grants, Australia-India Strategic Research Funded (AISRF)/ DIISR grant; several ACARP grants, and worked on an AMIRA project, Indo-Japan and Australia-Japan grants with National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST, Japan). Patents – Rock cutting machine/Oscillating Disc Cutting (ODC) technology, Co-authored book “Highwall Mining - Applicability, Design and Safety” (CRC Press); Book chapter - “Application of fractals in the study of rock fracture and rockbursts-associated seismicity”, in Application of Fractals in Earth Sciences, Balkema Publishers. Best technical paper in R&D titled “Fractal analysis of acoustic emission and its application in the investigation of compressive fracture of brittle rock” in Journal of Non-Destructive Evaluation; International adviser for iCEM; Adjunct Professor PDPU; Editorial Advisor Board of Journal of Energy and Management; international adviser/committee member of several rock mechanics/mining conferences. Author of over 100 peer reviewed publications and high quality technical reports.
