Research Overview

  • I have a broad range of research interests across cult film, fans, celebrity, film and television, and popular culture. All of my research centres around audiences, and how they engage with, and create media products. I am involved with the Australasian branch of the Fan Studies Network, as academic research in fan studies undergoes rapid expansion internationally.  My most recent publications have appeared in Celebrity Studies, M/C Journal, and the Australasian Journal of Popular Culture. I am currently preparing my first monograph for the Queer Film Classics series (McGill-Queens University Press) to be published in 2022.
