Microwave spectrum and dipole moment of Dewar benzene

Abstract


  • The microwave spectrum of Dewar benzene (bicyclo [2.2.0] hexa-2,5-diene) has been assigned and gives rotational constants of A = 7770.391 MHz, B = 4479.298 MHz and C = 3488.945 MHz. Stark effect measurements show the molecule to have a dipole moment of 0.0437D. © 1974.
