COMPARISON OF DIFFERENT ORE RESERVE ESTIMATION METHODS USING CONDITIONAL SIMULATION.

Abstract


  • The study was performed on simulated coal deposits and the evaluation parameter was the coal thickness. In all cases tested, kriging gave the best estimates, followed by IDS and polygonal methods. As expected, the relative efficiency of kriging over other estimators depended on the nature of mineralization.
