Adding value to bulk materials and commodities

Journal Article

Abstract

  • Problems that can result from lack of good design and/or latest technologies in bulk solids handling are considered. Several case studies are described showing how a systems approach to the design of a bulk solids handling plant can provide good dividends. These case studies cover: storage bins, feeders and chutes; stockpiles; segregation; pneumatic conveying and new technology. Sources of information and training are outlined. (P.M.Taylor)
