IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF A GRAVITY-RECLAIM STOCKPILE SYSTEM.

Abstract


  • This paper describes modifications to the plough reclaim windows at Saraji Mine designed on the basis of modern bin flow theory, together with an evaluation of their performance. It is shown that the average loadout rate has been increased by approximately 90%, while the incidence of coal slump into the reclaim tunnel has been eliminated.
