Formaldehyde measurements in the free troposphere

Abstract


  • Determinations of formaldehyde have been performed in tropospheric air above northern Europe. Mixing ratios obtained range from 23 to 142 pptv with an average of 72 pptv and 31 pptv standard deviation of a total of 13 samples. Formaldehyde mixing ratios decrease during the dark time as expected. -Authors
