Experiment and application of slab width reduction prediction model on roughing stands of hot strip mill

Abstract


  • Based on previous works on experiments with Pb and finite element simulation, the productive experiments were carried out for mathematical deformation model study of width reduction process on roughing stands of hot strip mill at Benxi Iron and Steel Co, a new rolling schedule was developed and put into practice, and the width tolerance was improved greatly.
