Use of thermoluminescent dosimetry (TLD) for quality assurance of orthovoltage X-ray therapy machines

Abstract


  • Thermoluminescent dosimeters are extensively used for quantitative dose measurements in many fields such as patient dosimetry radiation therapy. In this study by using commercially available TL materials a practical method was developed for routine energy quality assurance verification for an orthovoltage X-ray therapy machine. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd.
