Flow characteristic of undershot water in J ACC system during flat hot rolling

Abstract


  • The flow characteristic of undershot water is analyzed on the principle of fluid dynamics, and critical condition and theoretical calculation equation of the length of continuous flow are obtained. Meanwhile, the length of continuous flow under the different conditions is measured by experiments, and the measured results of low speed flow are in good agreement with the theoretical calculated results. Moreover the relationship of length of continuous flow of high speed flow to various influencing factors is discussed. The influencing factors of flow speed and roughness are obtained, and the modified calculation equation of the length of continuous flow is established by experimental regression.
