Robust Multivariable Negative Imaginary Controller to Mitigate Damping and Cross Coupling Effects of LCL-Type Filter in PV Islanded Microgrids

Abstract


  • The undamped resonance of LCL filtered photovoltaic powered islanded microgrid is responsible for the reduction of the safety and stability of the system. An improved resonant controller has been proposed to damp the associated resonance of LCL filter and exhibit smoother performances by decreasing the THD value of voltage and current. High tracking capability with higher reduction ability of the effect of cross coupling ensure the better performance of the proposed controller.
