Up-conversion luminescence of doped GdCOB crystal

Abstract


  • Pr, Yb-codoped and Tb, Yb-codoped GdCOB crystals were grown for the first time to our knowledge. The transmittance spectrum and luminescence emission were measured at room temperature. Up-conversion red light at about 700 nm were detected after Yb3+ pulsed excitation at 974 nm. The mechanism of energy transfer from Yb3+ to Pr3+ and Tb3+ were analyzed.
