Spectrum properties of Ho-doped GdCOB crystal

Abstract


  • The transmittance spectrum of GdCOB:Ho crystal, which was grown by using Czochraliski pulling method for the first time to our knowledge, was measured. The absorption peak of Gd3+ and Ho3+ ions was labeled. The absorption cross-section and oscillator strength were calculated on the basis of its spectrum. According to Judd-Ofelt theory, the spectral strength parameters Ω2=3.511×10-20 cm2, Ω4=1.093×10-20 cm2 and Ω6=0.985×10-20 cm2 of Ho3+ were fitted.
