Self-mixing interference effects in a laser diode with multiple optical feedback

Abstract


  • The self-mixing interference effects in a laser diode with multiple optical feedback were studied theoretically and experimentally. The system model was established, based on the compound cavity effect in lasers. The numerical analysis of the model is in good agreement with experimental results. The results contribute to the theory of self-mixing interference and to the design of a displacement measurement system with high resolution.
