Complete bandgap in three-dimensional chiral gyroid photonic crystals for topological photonics

Abstract


  • We fabricate chiral gyroid photonic crystals using a symmetry-preserving laser direct fabrication method. A three-dimensional complete photonic bandgap at mid-infrared wavelengths is opened through a uniform three-dimensional coating of high refractive-index Sb2Te3 thin films.
