MIMO-OFDM channel estimation in the presence of carrier frequency-offset

Abstract


  • A new algorithm for joint channel and carrier frequency-offset (CFO) estimation in MIMO-OFDM using a training sequence is proposed. This algorithm is developed based on a maximum likelihood (ML) criterion, and jointly estimates the CFO and all frequency-selective channel parameters in time domain. To evaluate the performance of the algorithm, the Cramer-Rao Bound (CRB) for the problem is calculated Computer simulations show that the proposed algorithm can meet the CRB in certain Signal-Noise Ratio (SNR). © 2004 IEEE.
