Abstract


  • The synthesis of 2-tetraphenylporphyrinylmethyltriphenylphosphonium chloride and its use in Wittig reactions is described, providing an efficient and versatile method for the syntheses of styryltetraphenylporphyrins as well as the hitherto unknown free base and heterometallated butadiene porphyrin dimers. © 1993.
