Modified adaptive line enhancement filter and its application to heart sound noise cancellation

Abstract


  • A modified adaptive line enhancer is proposed. We use feedback to convert original adaptive line enhancement (ALE) filter to a pole-zero system. Recursive Least squares algorithm is used to minimize the performance index. The performance of the filter is elaborated by showing some simulation results. The proposed filter is used to cancel out the background noise from heart sounds.
