Abstract


  • In this paper, the film thickness in gear contacts under dynamic loads was calculated by the method outlined by Vichard (1) for isothermal condition and neglecting side leakage. The effects of frequency, range of load and speed on the film thickness for different gear ratios are considered. © 1987, Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
