Abstract

• The contractual work described in this paper consisted of refurbishing the ceiling of an underground parking garage using forced pulsed waterjet technique. The task was quite difficult as there were innumerable gas and water pipes, fire sprinklers, communication cables, which needed to be protected against possible damage. The use of pulsed technique resulted in savings of $200/m2 compared to the chipping and sandblasting techniques, which were used earlier. © BHR Group 2004 Water Jetting.
