Ten channel background alpha radiometer for nondestructive analysis of low activity samples

Abstract


  • The description of a ten-channel alpha-radiometer based on large-area semiconductor detectors is presented. The radiometer is intended for determination of soil pollution by alpha-active radionuclides using thick samples. The analysis of isotopes is also provided. The concentrations of Pu and Am isotopes in soil samples are determined. © 1992 IEEE
