Book Review: Radical Embodied Cognitive Science by Anthony Chemero

Journal Article

Abstract

  • This remarkable book has paved the way for thinking about cognition as something that is dynamically and interactively bound up with the world. It develops a framework for providing cognitive science with explanations in non-representationalist terms. This framework directly challenges, and offers a genuine alternative to, the orthodox toolset of cognitive science which tends to offer explanations in terms of the computational manipulation of mental representations.
