Load flow analysis of radial and weakly meshed distribution systems including distributed generations

Abstract


  • By considering the presence of distributed generations, traditional distribution load flow methods have to be modified. Distributed generations as PQ or PV buses are modeled in load flow calculations. In this paper, a method for distribution networks load flow solution with radial and weakly meshed structure including DGs is presented. A method is presented for modeling the DGs in their PV bus operation mode, too. The load flow solution for various cases of presence and absence of DG in a seven-bus test distribution system is solved and the results are presented.
