"Give a Person a Fish, Feed them For a Day.
Teach a person to Fish, Feed them For a Lifetime"
Adapted from a Chinese proverb (Author and date unknown)
Kouzes and Posner (2007) remind us that everyone has leadership potential and that the leader in all of us can be liberated if we engage in deliberate strategies to enhance our existing leadership capabilities. One of these strategies is networking (Grayson and Baldwin 2011). In this workshop participants will be invited to explore the extent and effectiveness of their current networks through a mind mapping activity and through the development of a visual representation of the connectedness of their network. This activity will introduce participants to the concept of the eco cycle to illuminate and strengthen their network, along with formulating an action plan to enhance their leadership development.
Who is the workshop aimed at (e.g. those new to PD, anyone could attend)
