An optimal method of estimation in rotation sampling

Journal Article

Abstract

  • The paper offers a brief introduction to rotation surveys. Then, two commonly used methods of estimation in rotation surveys are introduced. A new estimation method is also discussed in this paper. New estimates are calculated based on a linear additive model with dependent errors. Using a simulation study, the mentioned estimation techniques will be compared. The results show that the new method of estimation introduced in this paper is the most efficient one.
