Australian coding standards for ICD-10-AM and ACHI

Book

Abstract

  • The Australian Coding Standards (ACS) for the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems,

Tenth Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM) and the Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI) apply

to all public and private hospitals in Australia. It is anticipated that revisions will be made on a regular basis and that further

editions will follow. The ongoing revision of the Australian Coding Standards will ensure that they reflect changes in clinical

practice, clinical classification amendments, Australian Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (AR-DRG) updates and various user

    requirements of inpatient data collections.
