Abstract

  • Technological change over the roughly 2,000-year period from the beginning of the Late Bronze Age ca. 1550 bce to the seventh century ce is characterized by extraordinary diversity and heterogeneity. A survey article of this kind can therefore flag only some of the more significant aspects of those changes and their complexity.
