Media rate control for large scale immersive communications

Abstract


  • A video rate control mechanism based on a modified LMS algorithm is presented. The control mechanism is used within a real-time IP multicast based system. Simulation results show that such a control mechanism allows the system to adapt to the varying network conditions of receiving clients.
