Gyroid nanoporous scaffold for conductive polymers

Abstract


  • Conductive nanoporous polymers with interconnected large surface area have been prepared by depositing polypyrrole onto nanocavity walls of nanoporous 1,2-polybutadiene films with gyroid morphology. Vapor phase polymerization of pyrrole was used to generate ultrathin films and prevent pore blocking. The resulting nanoporous polymers exhibited a promising electroactivity. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2011.
