Sekai no Naka no Nihon no Feminizumu

Chapter

Abstract

  • In this chapter I place the history of feminism in Japan in its international context. I argue that feminism as a political movement has, throughout its history, been an international and transnational movement. I consider the significance of this insight for an understanding of the history of feminism and its contemporary political implications.
