Traditionally gendered organisations such as engineering tend to face gender-based HRM
issues and challenges. In this developmental paper, we use the sustainable HRM framework
to rationalise how inclusive, altruistic, and green values dimensions can be critical to promote
diversity and inclusiveness in gendered organisations. We develop a framework that can be
adopted by traditionally gendered organisations to modify their values orientation to
encompass sustainable work practices and would enable them to achieve a sustainable
competitive advantage in the market.
