Transverse electric surface plasmon polaritons in a dielectric-graphene-dielectric structure in sub-terahertz regime

Abstract


  • © 2019 The Author(s). We demonstrate a new low-frequency transverse electric SPP in the terahertz (THz)/subTHz regime in a dielectric-graphene-dielectric structure. The TE SPP is generated by the strong nonlinear response in graphene. Furthermore, unlike any other known SPPs located outside the radiation zone, a significant part of the low frequency TE SPP mode falls in the radiation zone.
