Comparação entre modalidades de coleta seletiva de materiais recicláveis

Conference Paper

Abstract

  • With the adoption of the Brazilian National Waste Policy (PNRS), Reverse Logistics gets a prominent role as a

strategy for the management of recyclable municipal solid waste. The selective collection is one of the key

processes in this strategy and therefore its interface with the Transport Routing of collection trucks. Two ways of

carrying the selective collection are the selective collection door to door and using Voluntary Delivery Points

(PEVs) / Ecopoints, which have advantages and disadvantages in terms of cost and coverage. The objective of

this paper is to compare these two modalities, creating a set of references for use when the implementation of

new selective collection programs in municipalities. It can be concluded that a combination of the two methods

is that in practice, brings better results and that the two main issues to be examined in the implementation of a

new program are public participation and implementation costs.
