Abstract
-
On 6 March 2018 Australia and Timor-Leste signed a treaty delimiting their maritime boundary in the
Timor Sea,1
following years of litigation and the first use of the Annex V Conciliation process under
Pt XV of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.2
While consideration of developments
prior to the conciliation was made in the ALJ last year,3
it is worth referring to what the outcomes of the
conciliation process were in detail and the treaty that came from it, that was not available to the author
of that piece at the time of writing.
