Temperature insensitive miniature photonic crystal fiber interferometric (PCFI) strain sensors

Abstract


  • Ambient temperature and refractive index insensitive miniature PCFI strain sensors are fabricated using precision cleaving and fusion splicing technique. These sensors can be used to provide force feedback for surgical staplers employed in laparoscopic surgeries. © 2012 OSA.
